White Cliffs for All

Mid access pathWhite CLiffs (10) 06.08.13

The White Cliffs of Dover are one of the most recognisable landscape features in the country.  It is one of the most visited places in Kent which creates pressures for the National Trust who need to enable as many people to access the site whilst limiting the impact of visitors on the landscape.

To help achieve this a new path has been created from the visitor centre to a viewing platform that overlooks the iconic white cliffs.  This has improved access for less mobile visitors whilst helping to keep footfall within a restricted area and not trampling the chalk grassland.  Disabled parking will also be added and as well as resting places.
