As part of the Elham Valley Line Trust's ongoing efforts to make George's Barn a hub for visitors to the Up on the Downs scheme area in Shepway local artists and craftspeople were comissioned to design and produce signage that delivers heritage details to visitors.  QR codes on interpretation panels and fingerposts link to web pages that provide natural heritage information, places to visit and activity trails.  How to find George's Barn.

The project has also enlarged a pond and improved surfacing on a wildlife trail used to help engage local young people and scoolchildren in the education sessions at George's Barn.  Find out more about the Elham Valley Line Trust.

The overall effect of the project has been to make George's Barn a much more attractive place for visitors and school groups.  An outdoor classroom has also been erected and the venue is rapidly gaining a reputation for being the goto place for outfoor learning in Shepway.
